Cristina camacho

Cristina Camacho started her dance career in Rockville, Maryland, training in contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop. After graduating from high school, she continued her training at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she attained a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Kinesiology. While studying dance, Camacho was cast in numerous faculty and student productions and had the honor of being awarded a Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship. Camacho currently dances with KickRocks Crew, an all-female crew from the DMV, as well as Culture Shock D.C., a nonprofit organization.  She has also had the pleasure of showcasing her own projects throughout the DC area. Camacho has choreographed competition-winning routines in studios in Maryland and finds that through teaching she is able to combine her passion for dance and people to generate a space for change, expression, and the exchange of ideas.
